A better test for intelligence

The demos are getting easier. A model can call a tool, open a browser, write code, and move information between systems. That is capability—but capability alone is not an operating model.

In healthcare IT and other high-trust environments, the useful test is less theatrical: can the system say what it plans to do, name the boundary it is operating inside, and leave enough evidence for a human to understand what happened?

The goal is not autonomy for its own sake. The goal is capability with oversight.
02

Permission is part of the product

External messages, destructive changes, public posts, credentials, and private context are not implementation details. They are the moments where trust is either earned or spent.

I want assistants that move quickly inside a clearly granted scope, stop at material boundaries, and make recovery a normal part of execution.

From prototype to operating layer

PatriciAI is becoming a practical layer for memory, tools, documentation, speech, and human-guided automation. The work is local-first where privacy matters, API-first where integrations need to scale, and governed by staging before anything reaches production.
